Dhenkanal: Two brick kiln labourers died, while another is said to be critical due to asphyxiation, in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district. The incident has been reported from Manpur village under Kontabania police limits in the district.
According to reports, three labourers were sleeping in a brick kiln after work on Thursday night. In the middle of the night, smoke from a diesel generator filled the place and two labourers suffocated to death. The third labourer was rescued in critical condition and rushed to the Angul district headquarters hospital (DHC) but later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as his condition deteriorated.
All the labourers are native to the neighbouring Angul district.
