2 Crushed As A Wall Of A Water Tank Collapses

Kandhamal: A newly married woman, Pravati Dalpati and a 12-year-old girl, Jagyasini Dalpati died due to the collapse of a wall of the water tank of their home in Tetimunda village under Kumudibandha police limits.

The bodies of the deceased have been extracted by the police. They have registered a case of unnatural death. The bodies has been sent to Baliguda sub-division hospital for post-mortem.

Pravati Dalpati was married to Raja Dalpati, son of Balabhadra Rout nine months back. She along with her young sister-in-law was washing utensils beside the 10 ft height water tank at 6:30 a.m when one of its walls gave way and both were crushed under it.

Jagyasini was studying in class 7 in Linepada Prakalpa Prathmika Bidyalaya and was adopted by the Balabhadra Rout, the owner of the house.
