2 Dead, 1 Injured As Bike Falls 20-Feet Down From Bridge In Koraput

Koraput: Two persons died and another was critically injured after the bike they were travelling in fell off a bridge and plummeted 20 feet down at Chatua area in Koraput district in the wee hours of Thursday.

The incident occurred while the trio was returning from Jagar Mela, a part of Maha Shivaratri celebrations. They all belong to Patangi.

According to reports, Purnachandra Khara, Gangadhar Gemel, and Tripati Khara had gone to watch Jagar Mela at Chatua. While returning home, their bike lost balance and fell off the Andhari Ghat bridge.

Upon being informed, police seized the bodies of the deceased Purnachandra and Gangadhar while the injured Tripati was rushed to a nearby hospital.
