Bhubaneswar: Two persons including a patient died after an ambulance met with an accident near Mahichala chhak on NH-26 under Junagarh police limits in Kalahandi district last night.
Reportedly, a patient from Kapurmal village under Jaipatna police limits was being taken in the 108 ambulance to Bhawanipatna when it hit a roadside tree.
The patient identified as Sumitra Durga and the ambulance helper died in the accident. Three of Sumitra’s family members were also injured in the accident.
