Angul: Two persons died while five others were injured after a pickup van met with an accident near Sanahula under Thakurgarh police limits of Angul district on Thursday.
Reportedly, the pickup van was moving from Boinda towards Athmallik when the driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed it into a bridge. As a result, the vehicle overturned and the passengers were thrown from their seats.
Two of the passengers died on the spot and five were injured. They were rescued by locals and admitted to a local hospital. On getting information, Thakurgarh Police rushed to the spot and initiated a probe.
