2 Farmers Killed In Lightning Strike In Kalahandi

Bhawanipatna: Two persons were killed in a lightning strike at Matikhal village under Kalampur block of Kalahandi district today.

The deceased have been identified as Bhajaman Dalpati (47) and Kalia Dalpati (40). They were cousins.

According to reports, Bhajaman and Kalia who were farmers had taken shelter in a hut inside a watermelon field today evening when lightning struck the hut.

While the hut was gutted, both were charred under the impact of the lightning strike.
