Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has promoted two IPS officers to the rank of Additional Director General (ADG).
According to a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, 2000 batch IPS officer Yatindra Koyal has been promoted to the rank of ADG of Police effective from January 1, 2025.
In a similar move, Prateek Mohanty of the same batch officer who is currently on central deputation, has been granted a proforma promotion to the position of ADG of Police.
Additionally, three more senior IPS officers have been promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police. These officers are Pinak Mishra, Banoth Jugal Kishore Kumar, and Battula Gangadhar. All belong to 2011 batch.
Moreover, in accordance with the IPS (Pay) Rules, 2016, three IPS officers of 2007 batch-Awinash Kumar, Sarthak Sarangi, and Niti Shekhar- have been promoted to the rank of Inspector General (IG) of Police, effective from January 1, 2025.
