Berhampur: Two persons were killed and five injured in an accident on Kanakata ghat road in Patrapur block of Ganjam district. The mishap took place when a bus toppled while maneuvering a turn on the ghat.
Two persons were killed on the spot while 15 sustained grievous injuries. The deceased are women, sources said.
They have been shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital here.
The was coming from Rayagada in Gajapati district and proceeding to Patrapur in Ganjam. The accident led to a road blockade which was cleared after an hour.
