Bhubaneswar: A tragic road accident near Ladukhai under Burla police station in Sambalpur claimed two lives on Saturday. According to reports, four youths were travelling in a car (HR 51 BB 0790) from Sambalpur to Godbhaga when the vehicle lost control near Baba Dhaba eatery and collided with a truck on the National Highway after jumping over the divider.
The impact was severe, and everyone in the car was crushed inside. Locals rushed to the scene and rescued the injured, sending them to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences And Research (VIMSAR) in Burla by ambulance. Unfortunately, two of the occupants, identified as Subrata Sahu and Manish Yadav, were declared dead by doctors.
The other two, Saurabh Gupta and Akash, are undergoing treatment at VIMSAR in critical condition. The Gaushala police have initiated an investigation into the incident and are continuing their probe.
