Bhawanipatna: Two minor boys drowned in a pond on Saturday at Durespadar village in Padepadar panchayat under Thuamul-Rampur block of Kalahandi district.
The deceased boys have been identified as Asman Nayak (10) Santanu Nayak (10).
According to reports, Asman and Santanu drowned while they had gone to take a bath in a pond near their houses. Their bodies were fished out by the villagers.
A pall of gloom descended in the village when news of the death of the kids broke.
