Balasore: Even before the uproar over the gang-rape of two minors in the capital city and one in Keonjhar could subside, two minor girls were allegedly kidnapped and raped in the Balasore district of Odisha.
According to reports, two Class X students in Soro police limits of Balasore district were kidnapped by miscreants on their way to the school and gang-raped. The victims were forcibly kept in a lodge for two days.
It is alleged that the miscreants drugged them and repeatedly took turns on them in the lodge. The police have taken serious note of the incident and are investigating the crime.
However, no arrests have been made so far.
Two miscreants allegedly came in a four-wheeler and intercepted the girls while they were on their way to school together on Tuesday. The accused asked the victims about the direction of a place. When the two minor girls got off their bicycles and told them the way, they were abducted and taken to the lodge.
Meanwhile, police have detained one of the accused. He is being interrogated by the police.
Further, the police have recorded the statements of the victims.
