Cuttack: Justice Gourishankar Satapathy and Justice Chittaranjan Dash were sworn in as Orissa High Court Judges today.
The Judges were administered the oath of office by Chief Justice S Muralidhar in a simple ceremony at the High Court premises at around 3 PM today.
President of India on Friday appointed Gourishankar Satapathy and Chittaranjan Dash as Judges of the Orissa High Court.
The Ministry of Law & Justice, Department of Justice (Appointments Division) issued a notification on Friday in this regard.
The Supreme Court Collegium on July 25 this year recommended the names of senior Judicial Officers Gourishankar Satapathy and Chittaranjan Dash for appointment as Judges of the Orissa High Court.
Senior Judicial Officer Satapathy was serving as the Director of Odisha Judicial Academy. He was born on 25 April 1972.
Similarly, senior Judicial Officer Dash born on 12 November 1964 was serving as the Registrar General of the Orissa High Court.
