Sonepur: Two persons of a marriage party were killed while 13 others were injured after the vehicle they were travelling in rammed into a roadside tree near Badkarle village under Rampur police limits in Dunguripali block of Sonepur district late Sunday night.
The deceased persons have been identified as Biranchi Mallick (60) of Malipali village and Jitendra Bag (25) of Grindola village, both from Bargarh district.
Reportedly, all of them were returning to Khaliapali village in Sonepur district after attending a wedding at Ganthiapali village in Bargarh district. Suddenly, the driver lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the vehicle rammed into a roadside tree killing two persons on the spot.
All the injured persons were rescued and admitted to Dunguripali Community Health Centre (CHC). On getting information, Rampur police arrived at the spot and initiated a probe into the matter.
