Sambalpur: In a tragic incident, two girl students were killed and another was critically injured in a road accident at Podabadi in Larambha of Bargarh district.
The deceased students have been identified as Anupama Mallick and Jayshree Rana while the critically wounded has been identified as Priya Manjari Panda. They were studying in Plus II.
According to reports, at around 12.45 pm, a few girl students of Kadobahal College were returning home after attending college when they were run over by a speeding truck. Three girl students were critically injured in the mishap.
Locals after providing first aid to the injured students rushed them to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences And Research (VIMSAR), Burla. While two of them succumbed to their injuries at VIMSAR, the health condition of another is stated to be critical.
