2 Poachers Arrested From Kapilash Wildlife Sanctuary; Gun, Bows, Arrows Seized

Bhubaneswar: Forest department officials have arrested two poachers from the Kapilash Wildlife Sanctuary in Dhenkanal district today.

A loaded country-made gun, bows and arrows have been seized from their possession, said a Forest department official.

The arrested have been identified as Tuna Karua (19) and Tuin Kondalken (20) of Rameikhamar village under Gondia police limits of Dhenkanal district, the official added.

Forest officials led by Kapilash Ranger Goutam Pradhan conducted a raid at around 1 AM leading to the arrest of the duo from near camp no. 12 in the Kapilash forest.

Pradhan said a case has been registered against them and they will be forwarded to court today.
