Bhubaneswar: Two persons were stabbed to death in separate incidents in the capital city on Saturday.
The first incident took place at Shantipalli slum in the Sahid Nagar area.
According to sources, four miscreants attacked a youth with knives following a brief altercation during Holi celebrations around noon.
The victim sustained critical injuries and succumbed on the spot. When his wife attempted to intervene, she was also attacked.
Preliminary investigation suggests past enmity as the motive behind the crime.
Upon receiving the information, Sahid Nagar police reached the scene and launched a probe.
In a similar incident, an unidentified group stabbed a youth to death in the Sameigadia area under Mancheswar police station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Ayushman Pati (27), son of Babu Pati of Sameigadia.
Upon receiving the information, Mancheswar police reached the spot and started an investigation.
