Rourkela: In a tragic incident, an 18-year-old college student drowned in the Tisco quarry at Kalinga Vihar under Chhend police limits in Rourkela today.
The deceased has been identified as Dilip Minz of Kadabahal village under Raiboga police limits of Sundargarh district.
Dilip was a student of +2 Commerce in Government College, Rourkela.
He was residing in Kalinga Vihar.
According to reports, today morning Dilip along with his friends had gone to take a bath at Tisco quarry when the mishap occurred.
Chhend police after getting an autopsy done have handed over the body to Dilip’s family and have registered an unnatural death case in the matter.
Following the mishap, a pall of gloom has descended over the area.
