Bhadrak: Two teenage boys drowned to death in a pond (Damodar Pokhari) in Dhamnagar NAC in Bhadrak district today.
The deceased boys have been identified as Komal Lochan Mallik (17) and Mukesh Giri (18) of Dakshinbada village.
According to reports, two friends Komal Lochan and Mukesh after partaking ‘prasad’ at a yagna had gone to ‘Damodar Pokhari’ for a wash. While washing themselves in the pond they got drowned.
Fire Service personnel with the help of locals rescued them from the pond and rushed them to the Government Hospital in Dhamnagar.
However, they were declared ‘brought dead’ by the attending doctors at the hospital.
