Rayagada: Two teenage girls of Utkapadu village in Kurli panchayat of Rayagada district allegedly consumed poison in an attempt to commit suicide.
The minor girls aged 15 and 14 years were friends.
While the 15-year-old has succumbed, the 14-year-old is critical and has been admitted to the district headquarters hospital here, reports said.
Neighbours on finding them in such a state initially rushed them to Kolnara Public Health Centre (PHC).
As their condition got serious, they were rushed to the district headquarters hospital here. However, the 15-year-old died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
