2 Youths Suffocate To Death While Cleaning Well In Rayagada

Rayagada: Two youths lost their lives due to suffocation while cleaning a well in Bandri village under Chandrapur police station in Rayagada district on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Tete Tangaranga (25) and Chittaranjan Tangaranga (28), both residents of the village.

According to reports, Tete and Chittaranjan were cleaning a well in their village when they suffocated. Upon witnessing the incident, locals immediately contacted the Chandrapur fire brigade.

Responding swiftly to the call, fire personnel rushed to the scene, rescued the two men and shifted them to the Chandrapur Community Health Centre (CHC). However, doctors at the facility declared them brought dead.

Upon receiving the information, Chandrapur police arrived at the scene and have launched an investigation into the incident.

Following the tragic event, a pall of gloom descended over the entire village.
