Puri: In a startling discovery, police seized 20 kilograms of gold ornaments from a woman’s residence in Chandanpur in Puri district during a raid linked to a fraud investigation.
According to reports, police on Monday, also uncovered a trolley bag stuffed with Rs. 500 denomination notes, the exact amount of which is yet to be disclosed.
Acting on a tip-off in an ongoing cheating case, police officials descended on the suspect’s home, where they recovered the substantial haul of gold and cash.
The woman, whose identity has not been revealed, has been detained at the local police station for questioning. Police is probing the source of the seized items and their connection to the fraud allegations.
