20 Pilgrims Critical After Pick-Up Van Overturns In Digapahandi After Brake-Failure

Ganjam: At least 20 people were critically injured when the pick-up van they were travelling by overturned at Kerandimala Mountain in Digapahandi block of Odisha’s Ganjam district on Sunday evening.

According to reports, all the passengers of the van were returning from Nija Bankeswari Shakti Peeth in Ganjam when the vehicle overturned owing to brake failure. All the injured were rushed to Digapahandi Community Health Centre (CHC), where the condition of several passengers is said to be critical.

On being informed police and Fire Services personnel reached the accident site and rescued the passengers of the ill-fated van.
