Bhubaneswar: As many as 2,000 applications of Subhadra Yojana were rejected due to incorrect bank account details, according to Deputy Prime Minister Pravati Parida.
“Nearly 97,000 applications for the Subhadra Yojana were pending as of Tuesday night, but all have been cleared except for 2,000 due to bank account errors. All eligible beneficiaries who already applied or will apply will receive the September 17 instalment,” Parida informed.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi disbursed the first instalment to 25.11 lakh beneficiaries, totalling Rs1,250.55 crores. The scheme aims to benefit over 1 crore women in Odisha, fulfilling the government’s pre-election promise to empower women.
