Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police have seized a total of 214 motorcycles from traffic rule violators for wrong route driving and use of modified silencers during an enforcement drive in different areas under Traffic Police Stations 1 & 2 in Bhubaneswar on October 7 and 8.
According to an official press release issued by DCP Bhubaneswar, while 201 motorcycles were seized for wrong route driving, 13 were seized for using modified silencers.
Similarly, six persons were handed over to the nearest police station for drunken driving.
Prosecution reports have been filed against users and owners of the seized motorcycles.
The Commissionerate Police have appealed to the general public not to violate traffic rules and always follow traffic rules while cautioning that similar drives will continue.
