Keonjhar: Twenty-two people were injured, including two critically, after a bus carrying picnickers rammed into a truck near Balukuma on National Highway No 20 in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on early Thursday.
The bus carrying more than 60 high school students from the Soro area of Balaswar district was heading towards Keonjhar when the bus hit a truck near Balukuma. Locals rescued accident victims and admitted them to Anandpur Community Health Centre.
The collision was so severe that the front portion of the bus was completely mangled.
On being informed, Balukuma police reached the accident site and launched an investigation.
