22 Stations Record Minimum Temperature Below 20 Degrees, Daringbadi Coldest At 9.5

Bhubaneswar: Total 22 out of 28 stations in the State recorded minimum temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Daringbadi in Kandhamal district was the coldest in the night at 9.5 degrees followed by Koraput – 12.2 degrees and Phulbani 12.6 degrees Celsius.

Six towns of Odisha recorded below 15 degrees temperature on Saturday night. These are: Korpaut, Phulbani, Keonjhar (14.2), Titlagarh (14.3) and Jharsuguda (14.6). Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 17 degrees and 18 degrees Celsius respectively last night, the IMD Bhubaneswar Centre informed.

The IMD further stated that a Cyclonic Circulation is lying over Southeast Bay of Bengal & adjoining equatorial Indian ocean off Sumatra Coast. “Under its influence a Low Pressure area is likely to form over Southeast Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood around 9th November,” the IMD added.
