Sundargarh: At least 23 persons were injured today when a pick-up van carrying them overturned on the Kulukuta ghat road under Tikayatpali police limits of Sundargarh district.
Four of them are seriously injured. All the injured have been hospitalised.
According to reports, the pick-up van carrying members of a band party was following a ‘barat party’ which was on its way to Indrapur village in Bonal sub division of Sundargarh district from Sambalpur.
The pick-up van overturned on Kulukuta ghat road following sudden failure of its brakes.
Locals rescued all the occupants of the pick-up van and have shifted them to the government hospital at Sarsara.
As condition of four out of them was serious, they have been shifted to the Sub Divisional Hospital at Bonai.
