Akash was working in the same capacity on contractual basis till May 2019,” the EOW stated.

“It has been ascertained that in that course, during the period from August, 2020 to November, 2020, Chandan Akash Mohanty had handed over 23 numbers of work orders for repair and renovation of Pantha Nivas at Barkul and Rambha, purportedly issued under the seal & signature of Executive Engineer, OTDC Ltd., Bhubaneswar and against the same, managed to get Rs 3 crore approximately from contractor, Dhanurdhara Champatiray towards purported EMD.”

An EOW official said, ” Around Rs 1.14 crore has been deposited in the personal account of Chandan Akash Mohanty in Andhra Bank, Lewis Road branch, Bhubaneswar. All those work orders are found fake and manufactured by using forged signature & seal and not issued from OTDC Ltd.
