29 Among 229 New Covid Cases In Odisha Below 18 Years, TPR At 0.39%

Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Thursday reported 229 new positive cases of Covid-19, out of which 29 are between the age of 0-18 years.

With a total of 57,649 samples tested in the last 24 hours, the test positivity rate (TPR) stands at 0.39%.

Among the new cases, 133 are in quarantine and 96 are local contacts. With this, the total number of positive cases in Odisha now stands at 10,46,317 with 2,616 active cases.

District-wise details of the new cases are as under.

The Health & Family Welfare Department has also confirmed that three more Covid positive persons have succumbed to the disease.

Details of the cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19 after due completion of the death audit process are as under.

1. A 67 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

2. A 75 years old Male of Puri District.

3. A 79 years old Female of Sundargarh District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Obesity.

The department further stated that this list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.
