Bhubaneswar: With the detection of 46 new cases in the last 24 hours the cumulative total of dengue cases in the Capital city since the 1st of January this year has climbed to 974, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) said today.
The city currently has 297 active dengue cases as a cumulative total of 677 dengue patients have recuperated this year to date.
In the last 24 hours, the BMC has intensified its awareness and cleaning drive. BMC teams surveyed 9021 households in the city and gathered information from 37,363 persons.
Workers of the BMC destroyed 30287 potential mosquito breeding sources and destroyed mosquito larva found in 30501 places.
