Earlier on June 20, 145 Odias had been evacuated from the island nation, with joint efforts of the Bahrain Odia Samaj (BOS) and the Government of India. BOS members and volunteers provided all required help to Odia brothers and sisters traveling to Odisha.
BOS General Secretary Susmita Rout had earlier stated that scheduling the second flight within 3 weeks from the first repatriation flight has really helped the Odia diaspora who were interested to return back, but were left out earlier for some reasons.
