Bhubaneswar: The students who participated in the first phase enrollment process and have already enrolled in the +3 course can also participate in the second phase of the admission process, informed Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj.
The Higher Education Minister said that +3 second phase enrollment has commenced from August 12 and the process will continue till August 26. An earlier guideline issued by the Higher Education Department it was mentioned that students who have already enrolled in the first phase cannot participate in the second phase. Information in this regard was also communicated to all the students from the beginning of the admission process through the Common Prospectus-2024-25 by the Higher Education Department.
But after commencement of the second round of enrollment, many students and parents requested the Higher Education Department to amend the guidelines and give one more chance to the students who had already enrolled in the first round to enroll in their preferred colleges and courses.
Following discussions in this regard, on the instructions of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the Higher Education Department has altered its decision and amended the guidelines issued earlier. It has been decided that the students who have already enrolled in the first phase can apply again in the second phase.
This amendment in the admission process will provide a new opportunity to many students, the Higher Education Minister opined.
“Our students are the future of our state and country. The role of education is very important in building their golden future. I hope and believe that the students will benefit by today’s decision,” he stated.
Following today’s decision, a feeling of joy was observed among the students and their parents. Many students met the Minister and expressed their gratitude.
