Bhubaneswar: Three persons sustained critical injuries due to an accidental explosion of firecrackers in Khosalpur village coming under the jurisdiction of Kuakhia police station of Jajpur district recently.
As per reports, the mishap occurred at a local firecracker manufacturer’s place while they were manufacturing firecrackers.
The injured persons have been identified as Sidheswara Parida, Dhaneswar Parida, and Om Prakash Jena, belonging to the Khosalpur village.
After learning about the incident, critically injured individuals were immediately admitted to Madhuban Community Health Center, where they received first-hand treatment.
Later, they were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, for advanced treatment.
According to sources, some individuals in Khosalpur village had been involved, in the illegal manufacturing of firecrackers for a long time.
The police stated, “We will initiate an investigation into the matter from our end if the families of the injured individuals do not file an official complaint.”
