3-Day State Level Children’s Day Fest-Suravi-2023 Kickstarts In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The three-day State Level Children’s Day Festival, Suravi-2023 kickstarted at the Govt Boys High School, Unit-9 campus here today.

The story of 5-T school transformation has found place in Suravi. An Aspirational pavilion has been constructed this year. Here students, teachers, and parents can see the innovative steps taken under the 5-T school transformation.

School and Mass Education Minister Sudam Marndi, Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das, MLAs Anant Narayan Jena, Sushant Kumar Rout attended the inauguration ceremony as guests. Basic literacy and knowledge of numerals has been included in Suravi. As many as 2000 students and 1200 teachers have participated in the festival.

This year, for the first time, a total of 240 students from across all higher secondary schools under the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education have taken part in the festival.

Students are scheduled to visit various monuments. Tomorrow the students will hold a shadow session of the United Nations. Odisha Assembly Speaker Pramila Mallik and School and Mass Education Minister Sudam Marndi are scheduled to attend the programme as chief guests. A cultural programme will be organized in the evening.
