Bargarh/Rayagada: At least three persons died in separate road mishaps in Bargarh and Rayagada districts of Odisha on Thursday.
Reportedly, a man and her daughter died after the motorcycle they were travelling on was hit by a car at Kanapali chowk near Bijepur in Bargarh district.
The deceased persons have been identified as Pradeep Sahu (35), and his daughter Rupa Sahu (4).
Pradeep was returning from his in-laws’ house at around 9 am today when his motorcycle was hit by a car coming from Bijepur.
Both the father and daughter died on the spot. The car driver managed to flee from the spot. On getting information, police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the matter.
In another incident, a man died while his wife was critically injured after the motorcycle they were travelling in collided head-on with a four-wheeler near Lakkubadi on Gumma Ghati in Rayagada district.
The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Majhi of Ekadili village under Sankara panchayat of the district. He and his wife were on their way to Koraput from Rayagada.
