3 From Odisha Find Place In AICC’s Star Campaigners’ List For Chhattisgarh Polls

Bhubaneswar: Three senior Congress leaders from Odisha will campaign for the party candidates in forthcoming Assembly elections in Chhattisgarh.

Odisha PCC president Sarat Patnaik, AICC general secretary Bhakta Charan Das and Koraput MP Saptagiri Ulaka have been included in the AICC’s 40-member list of star campaigners which has been submitted to the election Commission.

The list features party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge, former party chief Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, state in-charge Kumari Selja, party leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and others.

The polling for Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly will take place in two phases. The first phase will take place on November 7, 2023 for 20 seats. The remaining 70 seats in the state will go to polls on November 17. The counting of votes will take place on December 3.
