Nayagarh: Three persons including a Sarpanch and Samiti Member candidate have been arrested for bribing voters at Mayurjhalia under Chandapur police limits of Nayagarh district.
The three accused have been identified as Sarpanch candidate Sushant Kalash, Samiti Member candidate Manmath Tripathy, and a Ward Member candidate’s husband Nanda Maharana.
They were allegedly distributing liquor and cash for votes when they were caught red-handed by some villagers. They were detained by the villagers and subsequently handed over to Chandapur Police.
