Koraput: In an unfortunate incident, three persons including two women were killed in a landslide in Karanjiguda hills near Dalapatiguda village under Pottangi police limits. Two others were critically injured.
The deceased have been identified as Champa Palesi (19), Jayant Pedakapu (26) and Sananayak Bisu (27).
Reportedly, at least seven persons from the village had gone to the hill for mining sandstone when landslide occured and killed three of them on the spot. They were rescued by locals and the bodies were sent for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, two critically injured persons were admitted to Pottangi Hospital for treatment. On the other hand, cops are further probing into the matter.
