Bhubaneswar: Three persons, including a woman, lost their lives when a Hyva truck crashed into a roadside tea stall of K. Balanga village in Sundargarh district on Sunday evening.
The accident occurred near the Jamudihi toll gate under K. Balanga police station.
According to reports, the truck driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to ram into the tea stall. At the time of the crash, three people were inside the stall. All three persons present at the stall died on the spot.
Following the incident, K. Balanga police swiftly arrived at the scene and, with assistance from fire personnel, extricated the bodies from the wreckage of the tea stall. The bodies were subsequently sent for post-mortem.
The police have seized the truck involved in the crash and initiated a thorough investigation into the incident.
