Bhubaneswar: A three-member committee of the Congress will be soon visiting Jharsuguda to find out the reason behind the party’s miserable show in the bypoll.
“A three-member Congress committee will visit Jharsuguda and submit a report after finding out why our party’s vote share declined,” informed Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee president Sarat Patnaik.
BJD candidate Dipali Das, daughter of slain Minister Naba Kisore Das won by securing a total of 1,07,003 votes. Das’ nearest rival BJP’s Tankadhar Tripathy managed to poll 58,384 votes in his favour, while Congress candidate Tarun Pandey got only 4473 votes.
