3 Odisha Districts Record Over 100 MM Rainfall In 3 Days

Bhubaneswar: Three districts of Odisha-Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and Puri have recorded above 100 mm rainfall in the three days from December 4 to 6.

The districts of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and Puri have recorded 192.0 mm, 133.9 mm, 113.5 mm rainfall respectively during the aforementioned period, said an official press release of the Revenue & Disaster Management Department.

The State has received 35.8 mm rainfall between December 4 and 6.

Khordha district has recorded 74.8 mm rainfall, Ganjam 73.3 mm, Cuttack 61.8 mm, Balasore 53.4 mm, Nayagarh 52.3 mm and Bhadrak 51.6 mm which means these districts have received on an average 50 mm rainfall.

Similarly, Jajpur district has recorded 44.5 mm rainfall, Mayurbhanj 33.6 mm, Boudh 32.6 mm, Gajapati 31.1 mm, Keonjhar 27.1 mm, Dhenkanal 25.8 mm, Anugul 17.0 mm, and Kandhamal 15.4 mm which amounts to an average of over 10 mm rainfall.

Besides, 12 districts have recorded below 10 mm rainfall. The districts are Sambalpur 6.9 mm, Subarnapur 5.3 mm, Balangir 4.4 mm, Bargarh 4.2 mm, Kalahandi 3.8 mm, Jharsuguda 3.6 mm, Sundargarh 3.6 mm, Deogarh 3.4 mm, Rayagada 3.3 mm, Koraput 2.0 mm, Nuapada 0.6 mm and Nabarangpur 0.4 mm.
