Bhubaneswar: Three places in Odisha today recorded a maximum temperature of 42 degree and above and Bolangir remained the hottest with 42.6, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The other places that recorded a maximum temperature of 42 degree and above are Titilagarh (42.5), and Boudh (42.0).
The western part of Odisha remained hot with Jharsuguda (40.8), Sambalpur (40.1), Sundargarh (40.5), Sonepur (40.6) and Bhawanipatna (40.6).
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded maximum temperatures of 34.4 and 34.2 degree Celsius respectively.
The seaside town of Gopalpur remained the coolest by registering a maximum temperature of 30 degree Celsius followed by Paradip at 31.5 and Puri at 31.8.
