G.Udayagiri: Three youths were killed in a tragic road accident on Shreekala Ghat road, near Daramaha under G. Udayagiri police limits in Kandhamal district. A car and a motorcycle (OD 19 H 4295) collided head-on, resulting in the death of the three youths.
The deceased youths have been identified as Shubham Nayak of Kalinga village and Shankar Pradhan and Shrihari Pradhan of Gadingia village
According to reports, Shubham, Shankar and Shrihari were traveling on a bike from Katingia when they collided with a car heading towards Raikia from G.Udayagiri. All three died on the spot under the impact of the crash.
On being informed IIC of G. Udayagiri police station Vijay Kumar Swain rushed to the scene and has initiated an investigation. One of the deceased was found trapped under the car, and his body was retrieved with the help of the Fire Service personnel.
The families of the deceased rushed to the accident site upon receiving the news.
Meanwhile, the car driver and another person have been detained by the police for questioning.
