3-Yr-Old Nayagarh Girl Goes Missing, Cops On Toes
Nayagarh: When mystery still shrouds over the death of the then missing five-year-old Pari of a village under the Sadar Police Station (PS) limits here in the district and the issue has been rocking the whole State besides an SIT probe underway, yet another three-year old girl has allegedly gone missing since yesterday.
A missing report has been registered with the Rajsunakhala Police Out Post under Ranpur Police Station (PS) limits and the cops have immediately initiated investigation into the sensitive matter.
The incident has taken place at Badhipatana village of Narendrapur Gram Panchayat (GP).
The girl child has been identified as the daughter of Sanjay Kumar Sahu. The missing report lodged with local police states that the little girl allegedly went missing from the backyard of their house when she had been there to play at about 3 pm yesterday afternoon hours. After launching a frantic search, the aggrieved parents filed the missing report.
In the midst of the Pari death hullabaloo, the parents as well as the whole village are now extremely apprehensive.
Talking to media, the worried father said, “She went to our backyard at 2 pm. We then searched for her at about 2.30-3 pm for lunch. Despite our concerted efforts, we couldn’t trace her out.
Two-three feriwalas (mobile vendors) were roaming around on our village at that time. Yesterday the police came and investigated into the matter. Today morning also, the police had come here with the Fire team and searched in the ponds and water bodies here, but could not find her.”
“We suspect that the mobile vendors would have kidnapped our daughter,” he stated.
Mother Sabita Sahu said, “She was playing at our backyard. Later, she came outside. She had money in her hand. I thought she might have gone to the shop to buy something.”
“5-6 mobile vendors had come to our village to sell blankets. I doubt she might have been
abducted through another route as it usually remains lonely. The blanket vendors had come here in a yellow colour auto rickshaw,” she complained.
