Puri: At least 30 houses were gutted in a raging fire that engulfed Alisa village Satyabadi block in Odisha’s Puri district in the wee hours of Tuesday. While one person sustained critical burn injuries in the blaze, three cows were burnt alive in the mishap.
According to reports, the fire broke out in a house in the village around 2.00 am on Tuesday evening and rapidly spread to other dwellings in the area.
A man’s house caught fire late last night. Immediately the fire spread all around. On being informed, Fire Services personnel rushed to the village but more than 30 hutments were reduced to ashes till the inferno was brought under control.
However, it is yet to be ascertained how the fire started. Fifteen families have been rendered homeless due to the fire.
