Bhubaneswar: Thirty teams left the Shree Jagannath Temple premises on Tuesday morning to distribute the invitation cards for the inauguration of the Srimandir Parikrama project in Puri on January 17.
Of the 30 teams, 13 teams will distribute the invitation cards in various places within Odisha, while 17 teams will distribute them outside the state.
Dignitaries, including religious heads of various temples and shrines, mutts, and important religious institutions, are being invited to the inauguration of the Srimandir Parikrama project.
One team reached the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar with an invitation card. Later, the team will visit Naveen Niwas to invite Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to the event.
Earlier, the card distribution began with the visit of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) representatives to the temple to invite Lord Jagannath, His Sibling Deities Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadraa as well as other deities on the temple premises.
