300 Abandoned Indane Gas Cylinders Seized From House, Forest

**Angul: ** More than 300 Indane gas cylinders were seized from Chandanpur village under Bantala police limits here by the Supply department on Thursday.

According to the sources, the cylinders were seized from a house.

Some more cylinders were also unearthed from a nearby forest.

Some villagers were seen taking these cylinders to their respective houses.

Notably, 73 cooking gas cylinders were seized on Wednesday from a house of unknown person at Changudia village in Chhendipada block here in the district.

It is believed that such an act is the fallout of joint raids by the Odisha Vigilance sleuths, Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology and Weight and Measure officials recently in which Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s elder brother Soumendra Pradhan’s Pradhan Gas Service at Handidhua in Talcher was raided twice and cases have been booked against senior Pradhan under the sections of Essential Commodity Act, Explosive Act and 420 of the IPC for which he has knocked the doors of Orissa High Court for anticipatory bail.
