Bhubaneswar: Total tally of the highly-transmissible coronavirus variant Omicron in Odisha mounted to 202 with 32 more cases of the variant reported from the State.
The Health and Family Welfare Department was informed about the detection of new Omicron cases by The Institute of Life Science (ILS), Bhubaneswar which had conducted genome sequencing of the samples.
The State had reported the biggest single-day jump in Omicron cases on Wednesday when 67 samples had tested positive for the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
The first case of the Omicron variant in the State was reported in December.
