A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure-Project Monitoring Group (CCI-PMG) was held at the State Secretariat on Friday in a bid to review the progress of the ongoing projects in the state.
While the meeting was presided over by Odisha Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, it was attended by Cabinet Committee Additional Secretary Arun Goyal.
It was informed after the meeting that 32 ongoing projects to be completed soon.
It was decided that the Cuttack-Chandikhole national highway (NH) stretch, Cuttack-Angul-Sambalpur NH stretch and the Kolkata-Mumbai NH-6 stretch passing through Odisha would be further strengthened.
In the railway sector, the ongoing doubling works of Sambalpur-Titilagarh and Sambalpur-Talcher lines are to be accelerated.
Besides, the progress of Khurda-Bolangir railway line work was also reviewed at the meeting.
The CCI-PMG meeting mostly discussed on road, railway, coal and power.
