Koraput: As many as 35 students from Siribeda PM Shree School hostel under Baipariguda block of Koraput district have been hospitalised after complaining of stomach pain.
According to reports, some students, who were residing in the school hostel, complained of severe abdominal pain after dinner. Subsequently, most of the students in the hostel started complaining of abdominal pain.
Upon being informed school headmaster, Kulamani Jena, rushed the students to Baipariguda Hospital in three Bolero vehicles.
Meanwhile, medical teams from Baipariguda and Ramgiri have been dispatched to the school to examine the remaining students and investigate the cause of the incident.
The incident has raised concerns about the quality of food being served in the school hostel.
